-Prawns Poached in Ceja Sauvignon Blanc

Suggested Wine Pairing: Ceja Sonoma Coast Sauvignon Blanc (Of course!)

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of Shrimp (16-20 count)
  • 1 cup of Ceja Sauvignon Blanc
  • 1/8 cup olive oil
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 bunch of cilantro
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • Salt and Pepper

Directions:

Prawns:
Peel, de-vein and clean shrimp. In a medium size pot add all the ingredients and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 10-12 minutes. (Serves 6)

Chef’s Tips:
This recipe will be a staple in our weekly cooking because it is so versatile. You can just serve them by themselves as an appetizer or on top of your favorite salad. At Ceja we serve them on tostadas with guacamole for a crowd-pleasing appetizer.
